Exciting opportunity for a Picker/Packer in Charlotte, North Carolina! We are looking for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to efficiency to join our logistics team. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items to fulfill orders and preparing them for shipment. This role is vital to our supply chain, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. We emphasize a safe working environment and require all team members to adhere to safety protocols, including the consistent use of appropriate PPE. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting and movement.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and interpret picking instructions from the system or supervisor.
- Accurately locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves.
- Verify product codes, descriptions, and quantities against order details.
- Package items securely and efficiently for transit, selecting appropriate materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipping carriers.
- Stage packed orders for pickup by shipping personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to general warehouse tidiness.
- Operate hand trucks or pallet jacks as needed.
- Follow all company safety guidelines, including the correct usage of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as required to support logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to perform consistent lifting and manual tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety standards and proper PPE usage.
