Description

We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter Foreman to join our team in the Oil & Energy industry. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems in various facilities, ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently. As a Pipefitter Foreman, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled pipefitters, coordinating work schedules, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. You will utilize your extensive knowledge of pipefitting techniques and processes to supervise and mentor team members, troubleshoot issues on-site, and ensure that all project milestones are achieved. In this leadership position, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture of safety and excellence, while also managing resources effectively to meet project deadlines. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be liaising with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide updates and report progress. Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of pipefitters on-site to ensure timely and quality work execution.
  • Plan and coordinate daily work schedules and project requirements in alignment with overall project timelines.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Review blueprints and specifications to determine project requirements and to provide input on design modifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to piping systems, ensuring any problems are reported and addressed immediately.
  • Monitor materials and supplies inventory, making recommendations for procurement to avoid project delays.
  • Provide training and mentorship to less experienced pipefitters, helping them develop their skills and knowledge in the field.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Pipefitter Foreman or in a similar supervisory role.
  • In-depth knowledge of pipefitting techniques, materials, and industry standards.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the Oil & Energy industry.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on communication and collaboration.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Certification in relevant trades or completion of an apprenticeship program in pipefitting is preferred.
