Kodak Alaris Colorado is the home of Kodak Moments Thermal Media Manufacturing and the Windsor Regional Distribution Center. The operations are responsible for the manufacturing and distribution of thermal media for photographic applications.

Job Summary

Kodak Moments Colorado is seeking an individual to join a high-performance work team at its manufacturing facility in Windsor, Colorado. This dynamic role will directly support the Thermal Media Manufacturing business in a variety of areas including: chemical mixing, gravure printing, and quality control. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: working safely with hazardous chemicals and large equipment; process start-ups, changeovers, and shutdowns; real-time monitoring and control of the printing and batching operations; recognizing, troubleshooting, and resolving quality defects; and maximizing process performance. This role will work under the immediate direction of a senior Team Leader who will guide day-to-day responsibilities and directly report to the Technical and Operations Manager for the area. This individual will ultimately be expected to work safely; be a team player; effectively communicate with Operators, Mechanics, Technical Staff, and Management; and follow standardized procedures.

Performance Dimensions and Tasks

Machines & Process Control – Time Spent 50%

Monitor machine indicators and process information; recognize and respond to process alarms; adjust manufacturing set points; identify abnormalities and respond with appropriate action(s); execute experiments; collect routine quality control samples; monitor quality control software and respond to issues; read and comprehend standard operating procedures; follow Corrective Action Guidelines (CAG's); communicate observations to Maintenance and Technical staff during troubleshooting

Machine & Process Setup/Startup/Shutdown – Time Spent 20%

Follow standard startup/shutdown procedures to activate/deactivate equipment on a weekly basis; change out hardware between product campaigns; setup hardware for new product campaigns; ensure manufacturing set points are all correct to start processes; perform routine cleaning of equipment on a weekly basis

Material Handling – Time Spent 10%

Identify, retrieve, transport, load, and unload correct raw materials; operate motorized riding and hand-driven trucks; operate equipment to incorporate raw materials into processes; maintain hazardous waste containers; wear proper personal protective equipment during specific tasks; follow safety protocols for handling hazardous chemicals

Troubleshooting – Time Spent 10%

Recognize problematic quality defects or machine operating conditions; escalate significant issues to necessary parties; use critical thinking to consider possible root causes; decide on a course of action to resolve the problem; follow standardized procedures to correct known issues; partner effectively with Maintenance and Technical Staff to resolve issues via supplying observations and performing experiments to better characterize the problem

Data Entry & Reporting – Time Spent 10%

Fill out daily efficiency reports; perform raw material consumption transactions via business planning software; write deviation reports to detail troubleshooting events and escalate issues; maintain visual factory communication boards to track machine performance; enter data into quality control software
