Field Service Engineer – Digital X-Ray Systems

What You'll Do
- Be the trusted technical expert for our digital X-ray solutions — installing, maintaining, and servicing systems at customer sites.
- Work directly with hospital staff, imaging centers, and healthcare professionals to ensure equipment is running optimally and reliably.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex issues involving CR/DR X-ray systems, laser imagers, CT scanners, radio fluoroscopy equipment, and networked medical devices.
- Serve as a key liaison between Carestream and the customer — combining technical knowledge with outstanding relationship-building skills.
- Analyze system trends, document service activity, and contribute to continuous product and service improvements.
- Enjoy a high degree of autonomy — work independently from a home office, with support from a regional team of skilled engineers.
- Travel within your assigned territory with occasional overnight stays.

What We're Looking For
- Associate degree in Electronics or a related field required; Bachelor's in Engineering (EE, EET, ME, MET) is a strong plus.
- 4+ years of experience in medical imaging, field service, or a related technical role.
- Strong knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and computer networking — and how to apply it in a real-world setting.
- Confident using test equipment, reading schematics, and problem-solving under pressure.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills — you enjoy helping people and solving problems.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage your own schedule.
- Must live within the assigned service area and hold a valid driver's license.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Carestream equipment is a plus.
- Hands-on knowledge of digital X-ray and complex imaging devices.
- Familiarity with PACS systems and hospital IT infrastructure.
