Project Superintendent
Reports to: Operations Manager
Superintendents are responsible for the quality, timeliness and smoothness of our projects out in the field. This is done through QA/QC checks, schedule management, and solving issues in the field through effective communication with our customers, subcontractors, and internal staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall success of projects during construction
Must be able to effectively plan and communicate with our subcontractors to develop safety and erection plans to meet the projects needs
Responsible for all QA / QC checks on projects in the field
Documentation of daily activities on site through photos and daily reports and issue lists
Responsible for the review of all final construction documents prior to construction start, and execution of those documents during construction (Submittals, RFIs, Change Order Scope, Construction Documents, Contract Scope, etc.)
Tracks all deliveries and schedules inspections, drives production in the field to hit construction schedules
Effective communication with the general contractor, particularly to ensure our coordination with other trade's activities and timelines
Maintains contractual standards and holds subcontractors to those standards as it relates to safety, quality, job cleanliness, and other on-site activities.
Available for all on site meetings including coordination meetings, preconstruction meeting, safety meetings, punch walks, OAC meetings, Subcontractor meetings, etc.
Responsible for reporting all change orders, internal and external. that originate from the field to the office
Must participate in required GC safety walks, perform safety audits, explain, and enforce OSHA and site safety requirements.
Responsible for tracking and ensuring punch lists and warranty calls are handled in a timely manner
Responsible for all "last mile coordination" (final coordination of material delivery, concrete pour dates, erector start dates, site logistics, etc.)
Background for Role:
Experience erecting pre-engineered metal buildings
Has run erection crews, both multiple crews on one job and multiple jobs at once
Knowledge of general construction practices and sequence
Ability to understand construction drawings
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft suite, Bluebeam, Procore, Raken
Strong time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
Ability to communicate and present information clearly and precisely to build lasting relationships
Strong analytical skills to maintain a high level of detail and precision while managing multiple projects with time constraints.
Tools:
Daily Reports (Done for each site visit, documented no later than next day): Used to track site conditions, crews and activities on site, when issues are brought up and resolved, deliveries made to the site, conversations with the GC and subcontractors
Site Visit Photos(Minimum 2 photos each: overall project, progress from last visit, details): These are used to document on site progress, track issues, market the project and allow office staff to observe the project
As-builts(updated weekly): used to track modifications between field and shop drawings
QA/QC Checklists (Updated during each site visit): used to track projects as they are progressing and minimizes rework in the future.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85, $95,000.00 per year
