Job Summary:
Position: Tax Manager (Hybrid)
Location: Columbus, OH 43215
Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $90,000-$110,000 annually

- Lead tax engagements from planning through review across corporate, partnership, trust, and individual entities.
- Prepare and review advanced tax returns and contribute to strategic tax research and planning.
- Supervise seniors, staff, and interns; provide performance feedback and mentorship.
- Communicate deliverables, findings, and updates to leadership and clients.
- Support cross-functional collaboration to address tax concerns and develop solutions.
- Monitor engagement budgets, profitability, billing processes, and timelines.
- Facilitate client meetings, executive discussions, and financial presentations.
- Balance multiple engagements simultaneously while meeting personal charge hour targets.
- Contribute to internal initiatives, process improvements, and firm-wide best practices.
- Represent the firm at events, networking functions, fundraisers, and professional forums.
- Assist in business development by identifying new opportunities and presenting financial/tax insights.
- Use tax software and research platforms effectively to support analytical and technical decision-making.
- Promote firm policies, ensure compliance, and maintain strong culture and team cohesion.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent discipline.
- Active CPA license (required).
- 5-7 years of tax experience within public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and research tools.
- Proven experience supervising and developing staff.
- Ability to occasionally travel to client locations.
- Flexibility to work extended hours during peak tax seasons.
