A prominent UHNW family in Coral Gables, FL is seeking a skilled
Facilities & Technical Manager
to oversee all operational, mechanical, and structural aspects of a large, multi-structure waterfront estate. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically proficient, solutions-oriented, and comfortable managing both people and complex systems. Flexibility and discretion are essential, as the estate environment is dynamic and multi-structured.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain 6 structures in optimal operating condition, ensuring structural, mechanical, and engineering systems are fully functional.
- Conduct daily property walkthroughs to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Oversee, coordinate, and support 2–3 maintenance technicians in daily operations and projects.
- Develop, implement, and update maintenance manuals, preventative schedules, and SOPs.
- Provide hands-on support for repairs, renovations, and construction projects.
- Manage weather preparedness, including hurricane readiness, and maintain waterfront/marine systems.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain estate technology, including HVAC, automation, and proprietary systems.
- Source, vet, and manage vendors and contractors to ensure high-quality work.
- Collaborate with other departments (housekeeping, culinary, property staff) to ensure seamless property operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in facilities management, engineering, or technical property management; UHNW estates preferred.
- Hands-on, solutions-oriented approach with technical expertise across multiple systems.
- Experience managing a team of maintenance technicians.
- Knowledge of waterfront properties, marine systems, teak, or specialty materials.
- Tech-savvy; comfortable with estate automation, proprietary systems, and digital management tools.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Flexible, discreet, and able to anticipate property needs.
- Clean background check and excellent references required.
Location:
Coral Gables, FL
Compensation:
$150,000–$210,000 DOE + Exceptional Benefits
Schedule:
Full-time, on-site Monday–Friday, flexibility required
