Dental Assistant

Hours needed:

Monday: 9am to 5:15pm
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 7am to 4:15pm
No Friday or weekends

Duties:

• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical and dental records using Open Dental software
• Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and recording medical and dental history
• Take and dental x-rays and intra-oral photos
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Perform basic dental laboratory tasks, such as pouring and trimming model and fabracating retainers and bleaching trays
• Assist the front desk with appointment confirmations and insurance verifications

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with patients and dental team members
• Reliable transportation to be consistently on time
• 1 year or more previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred
• CPR Certification preferred
• Familiarity using iTero, intraoral camera and Open Dental software preferred
