We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials. This is a vital position that ensures our operations run smoothly and that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Moving materials and products to and from designated areas using appropriate equipment.
- Scanning and accurately recording inventory using warehouse management systems.
- Verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Properly storing materials to ensure accessibility and prevent damage.
- Assisting with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently.
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures, with a strong focus on Safety and proper Lifting techniques.
- Wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment operation is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and following all guidelines.
