Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our Des Moines, Iowa location. This role is vital for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory management procedures, conducting regular audits, and identifying and resolving discrepancies. If you have a sharp eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a passion for optimizing logistics processes, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute significantly to our operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories, analyzing results and identifying variances.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate reorder needs to procurement.
  • Manage and track the movement of goods within the warehouse, ensuring proper record-keeping.
  • Utilize inventory management software and other tools to maintain accurate data.
  • Implement strategies to reduce inventory shrinkage and improve overall stock accuracy.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including proper Lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
  • Generate reports on inventory status, accuracy, and other key performance indicators.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., WMS) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 30 lbs.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics principles.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
