We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Austin, Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations. This role is crucial in ensuring our products reach their destinations on time and in excellent condition. You will work closely with the warehouse supervisor and other team members to manage shipping schedules, prepare necessary documentation, and coordinate with carriers.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Verify shipping information against orders and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Prepare shipping labels, manifests, and other required paperwork.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Operate shipping software and equipment, such as scanners and printers.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
- Assist with inventory management and stocktaking as needed.
- Lift and move packages up to 50 lbs as part of the shipping process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics preferred.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including shipping software and MS Office.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to wear appropriate PPE as required.
- Must be able to perform manual tasks including significant Lifting.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment is essential.
