We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Houston, Texas. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement and management of materials within our warehouse. Your primary duties will include receiving, storing, picking, and preparing materials for shipment. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all operations. You will work closely with the inventory control team to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, capable of lifting moderate to heavy items, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Your contributions are vital to the smooth operation of our supply chain. We emphasize a strong culture of safety and expect all team members to adhere to established protocols and best practices. This includes the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. You will be trained on safe lifting techniques and the operation of various material handling equipment. This role offers a great opportunity for growth within our logistics network. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information against invoices or other documents.
- Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in designated storage areas according to warehouse organization.
- Pick and fill orders from stock, and place orders on pallets or shelves for distribution.
- Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and reporting damaged, short, or missing materials.
- Use pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment to move, load, or unload materials.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts as required.
- Contribute to overall logistics efficiency.
