We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in Provo, Utah. This critical role involves the safe and efficient movement of materials within our distribution center. You will be responsible for operating forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and assisting with inventory management. A strong commitment to Safety and a proven track record of operating heavy machinery are essential. This position is key to our logistics flow, ensuring that goods are moved quickly and accurately. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload freight from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated warehouse locations.
- Stock inventory on shelves, racks, or other storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse and equipment.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Proper use of required PPE, including hard hats and safety glasses.
- Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals in our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid forklift operator certification or license. Proven experience operating various types of forklifts. Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics procedures. Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 50 pounds. Strong understanding of Safety practices and procedures related to forklift operation. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be reliable and punctual. This role requires a keen focus on Safety and efficiency in material handling. Regular Lifting may be required when not operating machinery.
