We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our state-of-the-art warehouse in San Jose, California. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Your primary function will be to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to transport materials throughout the facility, load and unload trailers, and support order fulfillment operations. This role is vital to our logistics network, ensuring that goods are managed correctly and safely. We are committed to maintaining the highest safety standards, and all necessary PPE will be provided. Employees must demonstrate proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and have a thorough understanding of safe operating procedures. Regular lifting and physical exertion are part of the job. A strong focus on safety and efficiency is essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items within the warehouse.
- Stack and stage products in designated areas.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of required PPE.
- Contribute to a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform lifting and operate machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and good spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Experience in logistics is advantageous.
