As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack inventory. Proper use of PPE is mandatory, and adherence to all safety regulations is paramount. This position involves significant forklift operation, but may also require occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs and other warehouse duties. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up) to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with inventory.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and arrange inventory efficiently and securely.
- Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance on forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as needed.
- Report any operational issues or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Ability to perform occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Knowledge of logistics and material handling best practices.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
