We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to manage incoming inventory at our Minneapolis, Minnesota facility. This vital role involves accurately receiving, inspecting, and logging all incoming shipments. You will be responsible for verifying delivery manifests against actual products, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring that all items are properly documented and staged for putaway. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential. The Receiving Clerk plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of our inventory and the smooth flow of our logistics operations. Ensuring proper handling of goods, adherence to safety procedures, including correct PPE usage and safe lifting techniques, is critical for this position. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label incoming inventory as required.
- Stage received goods in appropriate areas for inventory control or distribution.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Assist with inventory audits and stock checks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (WMS) is advantageous.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Basic computer proficiency.
