Join our dynamic logistics team as a Material Handler in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! We are seeking motivated individuals to contribute to the efficient flow of goods within our state-of-the-art warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping a wide variety of products. Your role is crucial to ensuring that our operations run smoothly and that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and compare packing slips to verify accuracy.
- Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in designated storage areas.
- Pick and pack orders according to customer requirements, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Load and unload materials from delivery trucks and for shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, and potentially forklifts after proper training and certification.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or damaged goods to supervisors immediately.
- Follow all established safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Adherence to all safety guidelines is mandatory.
