We are seeking a dedicated Receiving Clerk to join our fast-paced Austin, Texas facility. This position plays a crucial role in managing the influx of goods into our warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at every step. You will be responsible for receiving shipments, meticulously checking items against orders, inspecting for any damage, and recording all transactions in our inventory system. A strong commitment to operational excellence and adherence to our robust Safety program is expected. All employees are required to use the provided PPE . This role requires active participation in tasks involving Lifting and moving of inventory. As a key part of our Logistics team, you will contribute directly to maintaining accurate stock levels and supporting timely order fulfillment. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from vendors and carriers.
- Accurately count and inspect all incoming merchandise for damage or discrepancies.
- Compare received goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory management system promptly and accurately.
- Generate receiving reports and resolve any discrepancies with procurement or vendors.
- Organize and maintain the receiving area to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
- Follow all established Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Consistently wear required PPE , including safety vests and gloves.
- Assist in other warehouse functions as needed to support overall Logistics .
- Handle tasks that involve regular Lifting of items up to 40 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving or inventory role is preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer applications.
- Ability to interpret shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Understanding of warehouse Logistics principles is advantageous.
- Ability to perform moderate physical labor, including standing, walking, and Lifting .
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Dedication to workplace Safety and compliance with PPE requirements.
