We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in New York City, New York. This leadership role is pivotal in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to all Safety standards. You will be responsible for managing staff, coordinating workflows, and optimizing warehouse processes to support our extensive Logistics network. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a thorough understanding of warehouse management. You must be committed to fostering a safe working environment, ensuring all team members utilize the correct PPE . This role involves overseeing tasks that require significant physical effort, including managing teams responsible for Lifting and moving heavy goods. We are looking for someone who can motivate a team, drive performance, and implement best practices in warehouse management. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct warehouse staff in daily activities.
- Coordinate receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels.
- Implement and enforce all Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Train and mentor warehouse associates.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows for maximum efficiency.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure operational readiness.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to staff.
- Resolve operational issues and employee conflicts.
- Contribute to the strategic planning of warehouse Logistics .
- Oversee tasks involving team members responsible for heavy Lifting .
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse management and Logistics operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and enforce Safety protocols and ensure compliance with PPE usage.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to manage teams performing physically demanding tasks, including significant Lifting .
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
