Join our bustling New York City, New York warehouse as a Warehouse Associate. This position plays a key role in managing the flow of inventory within our high-volume facility. You will engage in diverse tasks including receiving goods, meticulous order picking, precise packing, and efficient shipping. Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming stock and materials efficiently.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational procedures.
- Read production schedules, customer orders, or shipping orders to determine items to be picked, gathered, or distributed.
- Pick and pack orders accurately, ensuring correct items and quantities.
- Prepare and stage orders for shipment, ensuring all items are properly secured.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment at all times.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other necessary equipment safely.
- Follow all company policies and Safety regulations, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse and Logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred, especially in a busy urban environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Capacity for regular Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team setting.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse equipment and tools.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of Safety.
- Knowledge of Logistics procedures is a plus.
