We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our team in Tampa, Florida. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy, quality, and proper documentation of all shipments. This role is vital for maintaining inventory integrity and supporting the efficient flow of our logistics operations. You will meticulously inspect deliveries, verify contents against orders, and manage the initial stages of inventory handling. If you have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and experience in a receiving or inventory control position, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders, packing slips, and other documentation.
- Accurately record received goods, including quantities, product codes, and condition.
- Tag and stage received items for storage or distribution.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area, following all Safety guidelines.
- Ensure proper use of all mandated PPE.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding any receiving issues.
- Support the broader logistics and supply chain functions.
- Be prepared for regular Lifting of packages and items, up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a receiving, inventory, or warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and inspection.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with logistics principles is an advantage.
