We are looking for an experienced Material Handler to join our bustling warehouse operations in Dallas, Texas. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within the distribution center. This role is critical to our logistics chain, ensuring that products are where they need to be, when they need to be. Your duties will include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment, as well as loading and unloading trucks. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment is paramount; therefore, strict adherence to safety protocols and the correct use of PPE are mandatory. The position involves significant physical activity, including frequent and heavy Lifting, stacking, and moving of goods. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and has a proven track record of operating material handling equipment safely. Experience with inventory management systems is beneficial. We value reliability, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented logistics setting. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move, stack, and organize materials within the warehouse.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of goods to prevent damage.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance.
- Follow all safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement.
- Support the overall logistics and warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler.
- Ability to perform tasks involving significant Lifting and physical exertion.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
