We are seeking experienced and certified Forklift Operators to join our state-of-the-art distribution center in Boston, Massachusetts. This critical role ensures the smooth flow of goods throughout our logistics hub. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper stacking and securing of goods.
- Transport products from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping docks.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement using WMS.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed boots and safety glasses.
- Follow proper lifting techniques and ensure loads are stable.
- Operate other warehouse equipment as needed and trained.
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices in logistics.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents and labels.
- Physical ability to perform duties that may involve climbing, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience in inventory control is a plus.
