Our Atlanta, Georgia facility is seeking a reliable Shipping & Receiving Associate to manage the flow of goods in and out of our distribution center. This critical role supports our extensive logistics network by ensuring timely and accurate processing of all inbound and outbound shipments. Responsibilities include inspecting incoming merchandise, verifying shipments against purchase orders, preparing goods for shipment, and operating loading dock equipment. You will be an integral part of maintaining an efficient and organized warehouse. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses good communication skills, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. We emphasize a strong commitment to safety; therefore, adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This role involves regular lifting, with the expectation of lifting up to 50 lbs, and requires attention to safe lifting techniques. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
- Operate forklifts and other loading dock equipment.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
- Organize warehouse space for efficient storage and flow of goods.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and the correct use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Commitment to safety standards and proper PPE usage.
