We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Coordinator for our facility in Portland, Oregon. This role is pivotal in overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and Safety in all Logistics processes. You will be responsible for coordinating inventory, managing shipments, optimizing warehouse layout, and supervising warehouse staff. The ideal candidate has strong leadership qualities, a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems, and a proven track record in a similar role. A commitment to implementing and enforcing strict Safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential. Your expertise will directly impact our supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction. This is a challenging yet rewarding position for an individual passionate about Logistics and Safety.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing receiving, warehousing, distribution, and order fulfillment operations.
- Implementing and managing inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinating with suppliers and transportation providers to ensure smooth Logistics flow.
- Developing and enforcing strict Safety policies and procedures to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Ensuring the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all warehouse staff.
- Managing warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
- Optimizing warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Operating and maintaining warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
- Managing the Loading and unloading process efficiently and safely.
- Analyzing operational data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator or similar supervisory role.
- Extensive knowledge of warehouse management software and techniques.
- Strong understanding of Logistics principles and supply chain management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to assess and manage potential Safety risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Physical ability to assist with tasks requiring occasional heavy Lifting.
