We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Supervisor to lead our operations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This leadership role is critical for overseeing daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining high standards of productivity, and promoting a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership skills, a deep understanding of logistics and warehouse management, and the ability to motivate and develop a team. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, providing training, and performance management.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
- Implement and maintain optimal warehouse processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts.
- Ensure all operations are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies for improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and continuous improvement of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Proficiency in inventory control and management techniques.
- Demonstrated understanding of workplace safety, including OSHA regulations and the correct use of PPE.
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require lifting up to 50 lbs, although direct physical labor is not the primary focus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
