We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our thriving warehouse operations in sunny Miami, Florida. This role is vital for managing the flow of materials, ensuring efficient operations within our logistics network. You will be responsible for receiving, moving, and preparing materials for shipment or further processing. A strong emphasis on Safety and precision is expected. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and products.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Sort, organize, and stock materials according to established procedures.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring correct quantities and proper packaging.
- Conduct regular inspections of materials and equipment to ensure functionality and Safety.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to housekeeping standards.
- Comply with all company policies and Safety regulations.
- Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the task.
- Adhere to all company Lifting policies to prevent injuries.
- Accurately record material movements and inventory levels.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a strong asset.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of basic warehouse Safety practices.
- Understanding of general Logistics principles.
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.
