Always connected by a bigger purpose, we keep the consumer at the center of everything we do.The Director of Technology: Converse Operations, Logistics and Corporate Functions will report directly to the Converse Senior Director of Global Technology.Who We Are Looking ForSomeone who can lead and transform the following key areas:Provide Technology products, solutions and strategic partnership to enable the business strategies of supported functions, especially to drive Converse’s growth as an innovative and digital brand. This includes areas such as:Global and Regional LogisticsWarehouse Management, RoboticsOrder to CashForecast to ReceivablesSAP Development and Platform evolutionOrder and Inventory Management focused on Direct to ConsumerFinance, Procurement and HRConverse Global Technology – provide technical leadership and partner with other leaders, to ensure all solutions are fully supported by Global Technology. Ensure that we are maximizing and leveraging our resources (people, funds, processes), while also specifically collaborating with areas such as:Data and AnalyticsSecurity and Data PrivacyArchitectureTechnical Operations and Product SupportNike Tech – Drive a strong partnership with colleagues across Nike, Inc., globally, to learn, share, leverage, and partner on solutions that meet shared business strategies:SAP S4 transformation and roadmapWM evolutionInventory and Order Management platformsEDI, IntegrationsSpecific Key ResponsibilitiesDrive Logistics and Operations Technology strategies and execution across all capabilities.Ensure alignment with Converse strategic priorities. Drive a balanced approach to near- team goals (Win Now), while relentlessly focusing on longer term strategies (Creating the Future).Provide subject matter expertise, industry knowledge, and team leadership for Technology function.Engage Global and GEO Logistics and Operations business team members and partners to influence and drive best practices and innovative improvements to platforms, systems and processes.Effectively manage priorities across multiple products, technical teams, and business collaborators, using strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills.Manage an annual $4M+ budget to accomplish business and technology strategies.What You Will Work OnIf this is you, you’ll be working across multiple global and GEO Tech and businesses teams, clarifying short and mid term priorities while continuously communicating and thinking about the future.You will have a good understanding about Footwear and retail businesses, while the right level of technical acumen to design our Tech roadmap to support our aspirations.Additionally, you will also help to bring clarity to ambiguity and to shape your business peers’ strategic objectives by creating and implementing roadmaps of core Tech products, managing scope and delivery of key enhancements / programs.All this work will happen through you team and partners, which you will coach and develop to reach their full potential. You will establish regular cadence of meetings and touchpoints to understand what is happening and how you can best support, and also deliver feedback on a timely manner.Who You Will Work WithThis position interacts with Converse Operations Leadership Team, Supply Chain Innovation Teams and Finance/Procurement/HR leaders as well. You will have an organization with multiple Tech products, supported by internal product managers and external engineering teams. Nike Tech will be a key player, as you are expected to learn, adapt and implement some of the broader Nike Inc platforms and standards at Converse.What You BringBachelor’s degree in computer science or related field requiredMaster’s degree a plus.Minimum of 10+ years’ work experience in a technology related field.Leadership and people management skills. Ability to coach and mentor so that team members are able to reach their full potential.Financial strategy and budget management skills. Ability to manage a multi-million-dollar annual budget and build compelling business cases to seek incremental investment for priority initiatives.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Must be able to interact effectively across functions and cultures.Ability to influence unpopular decisions while maintaining strong working relationshipsAbility to critically analyze information & systems, creative problem solving skills & strategically plan complex organizational & functional interactions.Ability to manage multiple and changing processes and priorities.Ability to coordinate multiple and conflicting demands. Ability to meet deadlines.Organized and detail-oriented. Ability to work with ambiguity and try new solutions to existing or new problems.Ability to understand, design, & coordinate the implementation of new processes and systems.Experienced with Agile ways of working including Scrum at Scale and/or SAFe. Ability to use tools like Jira, Miro, Aha!.
