Job Summary The Firearms Sales Associate is responsible for maintaining Counter Sales and Customer Service for Firearms along with Floor and Counter Sales of other merchandise. They perform various selling/customer service activities, to include greeting and acknowledging all customers, handling merchandise with care, providing information, assistance and direction to customers.
**Part-Time Position - up to 24 hours per week. ***
Responsibilities
  • Welcome customers entering or leaving the store, answer their questions, assist them locate items, and provide recommendations
  • Safely demonstrate firearm products to customers
  • Follow all store procedures regarding the purchase of specific items, such as firearms or ammo
  • Maintain a constant awareness of firearm safety
  • Operating a point-of-sale (POS) system; processing customer sales by scanning items and collecting payments
  • Assists in executing all required firearms paperwork within legal parameters.
  • May participate in inventory tasks
  • Follows all company policies and procedures
  • Stock shelves and maintain a clean environment
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Legally eligible to work in a firearm environment. 
  • Ability to obtain a Certificate of Eligibility
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings
  • High School graduate or GED certificate
  • Product knowledge of Firearms and Ammunition
  • Basic PC knowledge and able to grasp instruction to new software programs
  • Prior retail or sales of firearms and ammunition experience preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge in Federal and State Regulations preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with cash register or other point-of-sale system (POS)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and lift throughout the course of a scheduled shift.
  • Must be able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to occasionally work in tight and confined spaces
  • Must be able to occasionally work in noisy environments 

Compensation: $18.00 per hour
