Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision in all operations. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes and mechanical systems, with the ability to work in dynamic and challenging environments. Prior experience with construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, excavators, backhoes, articulated trucks, and on/off road trucks is essential to successfully perform this position.
Duties
- Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, articulated trucks, scrapers, and graders to facilitate construction activities.
- Perform site preparation tasks such as grading, excavation, and material movement with precision and safety.
- Manage the operation of specialized equipment like concrete mixers and dump trucks as needed for project requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using appropriate machinery; coordinate with team members for efficient workflow.
- Maintain detailed records of equipment usage and operational logs for project documentation.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, articulated trucks, scrapers, and graders.
- Construction site experience is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy machinery.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is desirable however this is not a driving position.
- Familiarity with construction materials and specialty machinery and equipment is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
