About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in either Snowflake or Matillion, along with proficiency in DBT and the Microsoft Data Stack, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance data pipelines and ETL processes that support our clients' data-driven initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in providing technical leadership, guiding junior team members, and ensuring the integrity and efficiency of data solutions across various projects.
This role offers the opportunity to work in an agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop data models, and implement innovative data solutions. Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud-based data platforms
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake or Matillion
- Proficiency in DBT and the Microsoft Data Stack, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics
- Strong SQL and Python skills for data manipulation and transformation
- Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Prior leadership or mentorship experience is highly desirable
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable and high-performance data pipelines using Snowflake or Matillion, along with DBT and the Microsoft Data Stack
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop data models
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers, promoting best practices and coding standards
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to industry standards
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing data pipelines to enhance performance and reliability
- Create comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and implementation guides
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve data solutions
