About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Senior Software Engineer specializing in iOS development to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality iOS applications that serve millions of drivers and vehicles globally. You will work closely with product owners, designers, and fellow engineers in an agile environment to deliver features early and often, ensuring the highest standards of performance, usability, and security. Your expertise will help shape our mobile platform, influencing product design and architecture decisions, and ensuring the delivery of scalable, reliable, and user-friendly applications. Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in native iOS application development
- Proficiency in Swift programming language and familiarity with the iOS development ecosystem
- Deep understanding of mobile frontend architecture, including modular design, state management, and navigation strategies
- Strong testing ethos and experience working within agile environments
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and engineers
- Experience in delivering production-grade software or services at scale
- Desire to create exceptional end-user experiences globally
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain iOS applications from conception through to deployment, supporting millions of users worldwide
- Participate actively in code reviews, design evaluations, and architecture discussions to ensure high-quality software solutions
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance product performance and capabilities
- Contribute to comprehensive documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing among engineering teams
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and technical teams to deliver features aligned with business goals
- Implement robust testing strategies to ensure reliability, security, and performance of applications
- Work in an agile setting, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Identify and troubleshoot issues in both development and production environments, implementing effective solutions
- Support continuous integration and deployment processes to streamline release cycles
- Stay updated with the latest iOS development trends and best practices, integrating them into ongoing projects

Location & Visa
This position is remote; however, candidates residing within 50 miles of a Ford Hub (Dearborn, MI or Palo Alto) are required to work on-site four times a week. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role, and relocation assistance is not provided. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, with verification of employment eligibility required at the time of hire.
