About The Role
Vantaca is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join its high-impact, fast-paced team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and scalable data products that enable better decision-making across the organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring data quality, security, and reliability, directly contributing to the company's strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver innovative solutions that drive organizational success. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies, optimize data models for performance and cost efficiency, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. As a key member of the data engineering team, you will influence best practices, mentor junior engineers, and help shape the company's data infrastructure to support its rapid growth and technological advancements.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related analytical/engineering fields
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles, with a thorough understanding of data pipeline development and ETL frameworks
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP
  • Strong communication skills enabling effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience designing and optimizing data warehouses
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and promoting best practices in data engineering

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support organizational data needs
  • Implement data governance, quality, and security standards across all data systems
  • Optimize data models and queries to enhance performance and reduce costs
  • Develop and maintain data infrastructure leveraging modern cloud technologies and tools
  • Create reusable frameworks and tools to streamline data engineering workflows
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to data quality and pipeline failures
  • Lead initiatives to improve system reliability, scalability, and overall performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute data engineering roadmaps and deliver impactful solutions
  • Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the data team
