Business Analyst

Job Title: Business Analyst (Curam)
Contract Duration: 11 Months (Probability of Extension)
Location: Washington DC 20003

Responsibilities:

• Define system scope and objectives based on user needs and industry requirements.
• Modify procedures to solve complex problems considering system limitations, operation time, and desired outcomes.
• Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate them into system specifications.
• Provide consultation on complex projects, acting as a top-level contributor to systems analysis while understanding the business impact of technology.
• Lead workshops for gap analysis, training, and implementation support.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop strategic plans and initiatives, addressing challenges and recommending improvements.
• Evaluate current processes and propose solutions for optimization, development, and maintenance.
• Become an integral team member, resolving platform-related issues using critical thinking.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 16+ years of Business Analyst experience.
• 16+ years in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• 16+ years of experience in requirements gathering and documentation.
• Proficient in MS Office and PowerPoint (16+ years).
• Experience in functional, technical, and performance requirements documentation in a software development environment (5+ years).
• Strong communication and writing skills (5+ years).
• Experience with Data Analysis Tools (IBM Knowledge Center, Curam Data Dictionary) (5+ years).
• Hands-on SDLC experience (16+ years).
• Proven track record of producing high-quality documents (4+ years).
• Experience with MS Project, Visio, and MS Office applications (6+ years).
• Experience with Curam software V6 or higher (3+ years).
• Project management experience in Change and Release Management (2+ years preferred).
• Experience with Microstrategy, HP Exstream, Tableau, JIRA, and Salesforce (2+ years preferred).
• Proven ability to drive functional design sessions (4+ years).
• Familiarity with project management methodologies.

Education/Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
• PMP certification is a plus.

Pay: $ $105.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
