GUARANTEED SALARY PAY Rail Scale, Inc. is hiring CDL Drivers As a critical element of our railroad scale inspection and certification service, our Driver/Inspectors are primarily responsible for transporting scale certification equipment to and from client scale sites. Driver/Inspectors operate their own (new, company supplied) Peterbilt day-cab pulling a 36' step deck trailer configured with specialized railroad scale testing equipment. Drivers are home almost every weekend of the year and home on all major holidays. Salary Base Pay starting around $70,000 annually depending on experience Total cash compensation after supplemental pay ranges from approx. $70,000 to $93,000.

What You'll Bring:

• CDL Class A certification
• Minimum of 1-year continuous OTR experience
• Must be willing to undergo standard pre-employment background screen
• Manual Transmission experience (must demonstrate)
• Immaculate equipment maintenance (company paid)
• Must have basic understanding of technology (texts, emails, uploading expense reports/receipts, completing computer-based test reports, scheduling/mapping routes)
• Maintain an accurate schedule and route log; Company uses Geotab ELD System
• Clean MVR
• Basic mechanical understanding

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Our Driver/Inspectors are responsible for safely and efficiently transporting highly specialized and calibrated railroad scale testing equipment to and from scheduled testing locations. Once on-site, Driver/Techs unload equipment and coordinate placement with railroad/scale tech personnel for scale testing. As a Driver/Tech, you are responsible for scheduling and routing effective trips based on inspection roster supplied by Rail Scale, Inc. Unlike traditional OTR trucking roles, our Driver/Inspectors are paid a base salary, regardless of trip status. No waiting or waking up at truck stops and no holdovers
