Mechanical Project Manager

The Mechanical Project Manager oversees all mechanical aspects of commercial construction projects, including HVAC and Plumbing. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and client expectations.

The Mechanical PM acts as the primary liaison between clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal project teams.

• Project Planning & Coordination

  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and cost reports for mechanical scopes.

  • Review design drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and constructability.

  • Coordinate mechanical design and installation with other trades (electrical, structural, architectural).

  • Lead project kickoff and coordination meetings with clients, engineers, and subcontractors.

• Construction Management

  • Oversee and direct mechanical subcontractors and field teams to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines.

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

  • Review and approve RFIs, change orders, and material submittals.

  • Ensure mechanical systems meet performance testing and commissioning requirements.

• Financial Oversight

  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking.

  • Negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
