Role Description

FasTutorAI is hiring a Software Developer (United States) to design, build, and maintain software solutions across our AI-powered education platform. This remote U.S.-based role involves developing user interfaces, backend services, APIs, and integrations that support millions of learning interactions.

The Software Developer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including AI/ML engineers, UX designers, product managers, and curriculum specialists, to deliver reliable and scalable software. This position is ideal for a technically strong developer who values clean engineering practices, innovation, and delivering technology that positively impacts learners nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

Software Design & Development

• Develop and maintain frontend, backend, or full-stack applications based on skillset and project needs.

• Implement new platform features, enhancements, and optimizations aligned with product and user requirements.

• Build secure, reusable, scalable components and services.

• Write clean, well-tested, well-documented code consistent with engineering best practices.

System Integration & Architecture

• Integrate third-party tools, APIs, databases, and internal services.

• Support architectural planning and participate in technical design discussions.

• Contribute to code reviews, refactoring, and ongoing system quality improvements.

Troubleshooting & Optimization

• Debug and resolve software issues across dev, staging, and production environments.

• Optimize performance, security, and reliability of platform components.

• Work with QA and other engineering teams to support automated testing and continuous delivery.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Translate technical and business requirements into scalable engineering solutions.

• Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospective reviews.

• Communicate progress, risks, timelines, and technical insights clearly to team members.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Proficiency in at least one major programming language such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Go.

• Experience with frontend or backend frameworks, such as React, , FastAPI, Django, or Express.

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, algorithms, and data structures.

• Experience working with databases (SQL or NoSQL) and API-driven development.

• Proficiency with Git, version control, and modern software development workflows.

Preferred (U.S. Market Advantage)

• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience working with distributed systems, microservices, or large-scale applications.

• Exposure to EdTech, AI-driven applications, or data-intensive platforms.

• Experience working in U.S.-based tech teams or startups.
