Job Summary:

This position reports directly to the Director of Supportive Housing. Chief Seattle Club's permanent supportive housing projects,
Sweet Grass Flats,
Goldfinch Elders' Housing
(55+),
?al ?al, Salmonberry, and Sacred Medicine House
together can house approximately 340 people, the majority of whom will be Chief Seattle Club members, Native American and Alaska Native.

Many residents/members have chronic and acute mental illness, active addiction issues, and/or trauma. Some have been homeless for many years. Goldfinch, Salmonberry, Sacred Medicine House are low-barrier, trauma-informed, harm reduction programs. Goals and objectives are established and evaluated by the Director of Supportive Housing and may be changed or updated at any time.

The Program Manager is expected to run their site in alignment with CSC's mission, vision, and values, as well as grant and funding requirements and promote a positive sense of community among residents by organizing and actively participating in on-site resident/member activities and services.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide inspirational leadership, program and service coordination, and management in a low-barrier, harm-reduction model.

  • Collaborate with other partnered service agencies as appropriate to ensure continuum of care for residents.

  • Work with staff and residents to ensure the site is a safe and compassionate environment grounded in Native culture and lifeways that supports residents in maintaining housing.

  • Supervise, support, and assist in the professional development of program staff.

  • Respond in a timely manner to all emergency resident and facility issues.

  • Coordinate with Program Supervisor as needed for staff support.

  • Coordinate all emergency services, property management, and maintenance response.

  • Supervise staff scheduling. Assure the programs are open and adequately staffed 365 days a year, filling in as needed. Minimize the use of overtime. Assure appropriate backup is in place at all times.
