Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. This vital role involves ensuring the optimal operation and upkeep of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and maintaining systems to support continuous production and facility safety. Your expertise will help create a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment that promotes operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly to minimize downtime, utilizing skills in welding, electrical experience, and mechanical knowledge.
  • Repair or replace faulty components in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motors, conveyors, and other automated systems to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for scheduling, parts inventory, and work order tracking.
  • Perform residential painting and general facilities maintenance tasks to uphold safety standards and aesthetic quality of the premises.
  • Supervise or assist junior technicians during complex repairs or installations, demonstrating leadership and supervising experience to ensure quality work.
  • Collaborate with production teams to coordinate maintenance schedules that minimize impact on manufacturing output while ensuring safety compliance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments with a strong understanding of mechanical systems, schematics, and electrical wiring.
  • Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), welding techniques, electrical troubleshooting, and use of diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
  • Knowledge of residential painting techniques is a plus for interior/exterior upkeep tasks.
  • Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately; familiarity with CMMS software is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills in English to effectively document work orders and collaborate with team members.
  • Supervising or leadership experience is desirable for guiding team efforts during maintenance projects.
  • Demonstrated customer service mindset when interacting with internal stakeholders or external vendors. Pay: $ $23.00 per hour
