Network Systems Integrator

ROI has a client who is
a rapidly growing small company in Huntsville, AL, is currently seeking a detail-oriented
Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Network Systems Integrator
to join the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate (S3I) Joint Technology Center – Systems Integration Lab (JSIL) Tech Center. The UAS Network Systems Integrator will perform system level installation, configuration, automation, test, and analysis on Multi-layer Switches, Firewalls, Linux based operating systems, and hypervisor-based environments with a majority of the work geared toward network equipment considerations.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with software developers and systems engineers to design and integrate network configurations, firewall configurations, and associated documentation.
• Work within an Agile scrum development model supporting the development of full system installation images on a biweekly basis.
• Troubleshoot network issues on virtual and physical switches and firewalls.
• Ability to work within a VMWare environment to design automated system and network configurations.
• Proficient in group policy and active directory manual and automated configuration.
• Write system scripts in Bash, PowerShell, Java, and Python to develop automated network configuration installation and automate single touch installation of network devices.
• Automate the creation, deployment, and configuration of virtual machines, containers, and networks as part of a global UAS system installation.
• Automate the creation, deployment, and configuration of virtual firewalls and Cloud Server Routers as part of one touch installations.
• Develop engineering technical material including but not limited to system description documents, network installation guides, data flow, and network diagrams.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• ABET Accredited Engineering Degree or Computer Science Degree required, and a minimum of six (6) years engineering experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Strong experience configuring Cisco switches (VLAN, VRF, routing protocols, Access Control List)
• Strong experience in network administration, remote network configuration, and firewall configuration.
• Strong experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell including the automation of system and application installations is required.
• Strong experience working independently with quantifiable results
• Strong understanding of general computing system architectures and virtual machines.
• Strong command line experience with UNIX based operating system or Windows command line configuration is required.
• Must have an Active CCNA
• Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Infrastructure as Code (LaC).
• Must hold or be able to obtain and maintain a Security+ SE and a Network + SE.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with datacenter architectures (cluster computing or high availability system).
• Experience with configuration management, such as Chef, Puppet, and/or Ansible.
• Experience writing technical documentation using Microsoft Office and Visio.
• Experience with Atlassian workflow management software.
• Experience with software development and testing
• Experience with Uncrewed Aircraft Systems.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

• Must have or be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
