Position: Maintenance & Construction Crew Supervisor
Location: St. Louis City & County
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Starting at $25/hour, based on experience and performance

Are you an experienced, hands-on leader who knows your way around tools, people, and property maintenance? A well-established local contracting company is seeking a reliable and driven Crew Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations across residential and commercial job sites in the St. Louis area. The majority of our projects support a dynamic property management firm.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in fast-paced environments, and has the technical know-how to jump in and get things done while also guiding others.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead a maintenance/construction crew with daily job assignments and troubleshooting support
  • Perform general maintenance, apartment turnover, and light construction tasks
  • Oversee quality, safety, and productivity on job sites
  • Communicate with the office team regarding billing, receipts, and payroll
  • Respond to messages, emails, and after-hours maintenance requests as needed
  • Purchase supplies, track inventory, and manage subcontractor activity
  • Maintain company tools, vehicles, lifts, and safety equipment
  • Manage surveillance, alarm, and lock/key systems
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper documentation

Skills We're Looking For:

Strongly Preferred Experience In:

  • Carpentry: Cabinets, windows, doors, drywall, locks, framing
  • Plumbing: Water heaters, faucets, disposals, toilets, drain lines
  • Electrical: Circuits, breakers, fixtures, outlets, switches
  • HVAC: Troubleshoot and repair furnaces and A/C units (Certification preferred)
  • Appliance Repair, Elevator Maintenance, and General Troubleshooting

Ideal Candidate Has:

  • 3+ years of hands-on maintenance or construction experience
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift 80–100 lbs and operate standard power tools
  • Professionalism when working with tenants, clients, and subcontractors
  • A clean driving record, ability to pass a drug test, and access to a smartphone and reliable transportation

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
  • Occasional overtime or after-hours work may be required
