Position: Maintenance & Construction Crew Supervisor
Location: St. Louis City & County
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Starting at $25/hour, based on experience and performance
Are you an experienced, hands-on leader who knows your way around tools, people, and property maintenance? A well-established local contracting company is seeking a reliable and driven Crew Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations across residential and commercial job sites in the St. Louis area. The majority of our projects support a dynamic property management firm.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in fast-paced environments, and has the technical know-how to jump in and get things done while also guiding others.
What You'll Do:
- Lead a maintenance/construction crew with daily job assignments and troubleshooting support
- Perform general maintenance, apartment turnover, and light construction tasks
- Oversee quality, safety, and productivity on job sites
- Communicate with the office team regarding billing, receipts, and payroll
- Respond to messages, emails, and after-hours maintenance requests as needed
- Purchase supplies, track inventory, and manage subcontractor activity
- Maintain company tools, vehicles, lifts, and safety equipment
- Manage surveillance, alarm, and lock/key systems
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper documentation
Skills We're Looking For:
Strongly Preferred Experience In:
- Carpentry: Cabinets, windows, doors, drywall, locks, framing
- Plumbing: Water heaters, faucets, disposals, toilets, drain lines
- Electrical: Circuits, breakers, fixtures, outlets, switches
- HVAC: Troubleshoot and repair furnaces and A/C units (Certification preferred)
- Appliance Repair, Elevator Maintenance, and General Troubleshooting
Ideal Candidate Has:
- 3+ years of hands-on maintenance or construction experience
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift 80–100 lbs and operate standard power tools
- Professionalism when working with tenants, clients, and subcontractors
- A clean driving record, ability to pass a drug test, and access to a smartphone and reliable transportation
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
- Occasional overtime or after-hours work may be required
