Part-time Cook

Part-Time Cook Position at OG Smash Burger.

OG Smash Burger is a small, fast-paced kitchen known for quality smash burgers, chili, fries, and patty melts. We are looking for a dependable Part-Time Cook who can work clean, stay organized, and handle a busy grill with confidence.

What We're Looking For:

• Restaurant kitchen experience required, including grill or fryer experience

• Valid California Food Handler Card

• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling

• Ability to work in a fast-moving small kitchen while staying organized

• Positive attitude and strong communication with the cashier and team

• Someone who takes pride in quality and consistency

• A team player who can stay focused during rush hours

Responsibilities:

• Cook smash burgers, patty melts, fries, and all menu items to order with consistent quality

• Maintain a clean and organized grill and fryer station at all times

• Prep ingredients daily including seasoning meat, slicing onions, portioning items, and stocking the line

• Restock sauces, buns, cheese, cups, and all needed items before and during shifts

• Communicate clearly with the cashier to keep orders accurate and flowing

• Follow all food safety and sanitation rules

• Keep the kitchen, prep tables, sinks, and equipment clean throughout the shift

• Empty trash, wipe surfaces, and maintain a clean work area

• Assist with opening duties including setting up the grill, fryer, prep area, and stocking food

• Assist with closing duties including shutting down equipment, cleaning the grill, dumping grease safely, washing dishes, and taking out trash

• Work safely around hot equipment and maintain proper portion control

Schedule:

• Part-time hours

• Must be available to work weekends

• Occasional extra hours during busy days
