OsteoStrong is seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to conduct Echolight REMS (Radiofrequency Echographic Multi Spectrometry) scans during pre-scheduled events at our OsteoStrong centers. This role is perfect for a certified sonographer looking to earn extra income in a low-stress, purpose-driven environment.

You'll be responsible for performing non-invasive, ultrasound-based bone density scans using the Echolight device. These events occur twice per month (approximately every other week) and are coordinated based on your availability.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform REMS bone density scans with accuracy and professionalism
  • Review and interpret scan quality to ensure optimal data
  • Collaborate with the Valere/OsteoStrong team to create a smooth event flow
  • Educate clients briefly on the scan process (no diagnosis or treatment required)
  • Maintain clean, calibrated, and compliant equipment during sessions

Schedule & Commitment:

  • 2 full-day events/month (4-8 hours per day)
  • Flexible scheduling based on your availability
  • All equipment and training provided by OsteoStrong

Qualifications:

  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent required
  • Prior experience in musculoskeletal, abdominal, or bone health imaging preferred
  • Comfort with technology and patient-facing roles
  • Reliable, professional, and personable demeanor

Compensation:
Competitive per-day or hourly rate, paid promptly after each event. Rate discussed during interview.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience or training in sonography with a focus on maternal-fetal medicine or Ob/Gyn preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical imaging principles.
  • Proficiency in sonography techniques, diagnostic radiology practices, and aseptic procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Knowledge of patient care standards with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations.
  • Certification or licensure as a Sonographer is highly desirable; relevant educational background in radiologic sciences or related fields is required.
