Apigee Platform Architect

We are seeking an experienced
Apigee Platform Architect/Developer
with deep, hands-on expertise in
Apigee Edge and Apigee Hybrid
across
AWS, GCP, OpenShift, and on-premise environments
. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in
installation, configuration, automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting
of Apigee platforms, with strong cloud, security, and API management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and automate
  Apigee Edge/Hybrid deployments across AWS, GCP, OpenShift, and on-prem environments using
  Terraform, Ansible, Bash, Python
  , and CI/CD pipelines.
• Architect
  secure, scalable, highly available
  Apigee solutions and integrate with enterprise systems (security tools, logging, monitoring).
• Develop automation for
  platform provisioning, backup, DR
  , and hybrid platform management.
• Integrate Apigee with
  AWS & GCP services
  , ensuring smooth hybrid API gateway performance.
• Implement and manage monitoring via
  Wavefront, ELK, Splunk
  , and integrate with CloudWatch, Prometheus, etc.
• Enforce API security using
  OAuth, JWT, API keys, mTLS
  , RBAC, and governance controls.
• Troubleshoot complex Apigee platform issues and support DevOps/development teams.
• Document architecture, installation steps, and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.

Required Skills

• Expert in
  Apigee Edge/Hybrid installations, configurations, API proxy development, traffic management, analytics, and lifecycle management
  .
• Strong cloud experience:
  AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch)
  ,
  GCP (GKE, Compute Engine, IAM)
  ,
  OpenShift/Kubernetes
  .
• Proficient in
  Bash, Python
  , and IaC tools (
  Terraform, Ansible
  ); strong CI/CD exposure.
• Solid understanding of
  networking, SSL/TLS, load balancers
  , and API security standards.
• Hands-on experience with
  Wavefront, ELK, Splunk
  for monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Strong hybrid deployment and on-premise integration background.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation abilities.

Preferred

• Apigee certifications
• Experience with
  F5, Service Mesh, Kubernetes ingress controllers
  , Docker/K8s
• API-first design knowledge
