Travel:
This role requires up to 20 to 25% travel.
Your Impact.
- The Business Development Manager will lead strategic partnership development, focusing on enterprise-level and regional alliances that generate high-quality leads for We Insure franchisees and corporate channels.
- This leader will identify, negotiate, and manage partnerships with organizations such as mortgage lenders, real estate firms, financial institutions, auto groups, and other verticals where embedded insurance or co-branded solutions can create new revenue streams.
- They'll collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to translate partnership opportunities into scalable lead generation programs that fuel franchise growth nationwide.
Key Responsibilities.
- Develop and execute a national and regional partnership strategy to drive qualified leads and franchise growth.
- Identify, negotiate, and activate enterprise relationships with key referral sources (mortgage, real estate, auto, financial, etc.).
- Collaborate with Marketing to build co-branded campaigns, referral programs, and digital lead funnels that convert.
- Work with the Franchise Sales team to convert partner-generated leads into new franchise owners or agency opportunities.
- Partner with enterprise organizations to add insurance as a revenue stream whether through referral programs or by opening co-branded We Insure agencies.
- Track performance, report on ROI, and continuously refine partnership strategy based on data and feedback.
- Represent We Insure at industry events, conferences, and partner summits to increase brand visibility and credibility.
- Stay current on trends in embedded insurance, franchise development, and channel partnerships.
Your Experience.
- 5+ years in business development or enterprise sales, ideally within insurance, financial services, or franchise systems.
- Proven track record of building strategic partnerships that produce measurable lead or revenue growth.
- Experience with B2B2C ecosystems (e.g., real estate, mortgage, auto, financial services).
- Strong relationship management and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage executive-level partners.
- Data-driven approach to assessing partnership ROI and scaling what works.
- Collaborative mindset, comfortable working across Sales, Marketing, and Franchise Operations.
Additional Experience.
- Prior experience in insurance distribution, embedded insurance, or InsurTech.
- Exposure to franchise systems or multi-unit business models.
- Understanding of lead generation mechanics (digital, referral, and affiliate).
- Existing relationships in real estate, mortgage, auto, or financial verticals.
- Strong presentation skills for enterprise and partner pitches.
