Our client is seeking a
hands Data Platform Manager
lead the development of their next-generation data infrastructure. This is a
hands-on, strategic leadership
position that blends architecture, engineering, and people management. You'll lead a cross-functional Agile team to build scalable, secure, and efficient tooling that powers data engineering and analytics across the organization.

Leadership & Strategy

• Manage and mentor a team of 4–6 engineers, fostering innovation, accountability, and growth.
• Partner with senior leadership to align platform initiatives with business objectives.
• Drive Agile execution through sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.

Architecture & Engineering

• Architect and scale cloud-native solutions using AWS (Lambda, ECS, S3, Glue, etc.).
• Design and maintain data pipelines and transformations using Snowflake and modern data tools.
• Define and enforce architectural standards across APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.

Platform Enablement

• Develop internal tooling to accelerate data workflows and analytics productivity.
• Implement DevOps best practices using Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions.
• Ensure platform reliability, security, and cost efficiency across environments.

Collaboration & Execution

• Partner with engineering and data teams to modernize legacy systems and optimize performance.
• Support governance, lineage, and quality standards across enterprise data.
• Champion the adoption of new technologies to meet evolving business needs.

Strategic Data Leadership

• Define and execute long-term data strategy with analytics, governance, and security teams.
• Oversee the design and operationalization of secure, scalable data solutions.
• Build and maintain core data architecture for integration, warehousing, and access.

What You Bring

• 15+ years in software or data engineering, including 5+ in leadership roles.
• Proven architecture experience in AWS and Snowflake.
• Deep understanding of modern data architecture, ELT/ETL pipelines, and analytics enablement.
• Hands-on expertise with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions preferred).
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading Agile teams and Scrum processes.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with Python/PySpark, data lakes, and real-time or batch data processing.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and cloud modernization.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and MDM frameworks.
• Exposure to GitLab, JavaScript, Azure, and data cataloging tools.

Pay Details:
$110,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
