Key Responsibilities as a Prep Cook at dnata Catering, you will play a vital role in our aviation catering team, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of high-quality meals for airline clients. Your main responsibility will be to assist in the preparation and organization of ingredients, ensuring they are ready for cooking and assembly. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will follow recipes and portion guidelines to measure and prepare ingredients, such as vegetables, meats, and sauces, while maintaining strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. With a keen eye for detail, you will assist in the proper storage and rotation of ingredients, ensuring freshness and minimizing waste. As a Prep Cook, you will also contribute to the efficient operation of the kitchen by assisting with inventory management, stock rotation, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Collaborating closely with the culinary team, you will support the production of high-quality meals by assisting in cooking, baking, and assembling dishes as required. • Cuts and portions different types of cheese according to specifications
• Cuts and portions different types of fruits and vegetable according to specifications
• Assist with dishing out all food and or meals for airlines.
• Read and follow dnata Catering recipes correctly and provide correct proportions.
• Comply with all HACCP/GMP and dnata catering sanitation and proper food handling policies and procedures.
