What You’ll Be Doing
Designing and delivering security architectures across defence and security programmes
Performing risk management activities using recognised industry frameworks
Ensuring security solutions are proportionate to system criticality and classification
Collaborating with IT architects and subject matter experts to embed security throughout delivery
Applying secure‑by‑design principles across complex technical environments
Producing assurance and compliance evidence aligned to MOD regulations
Designing and evaluating mitigation options for identified vulnerabilities
Working closely with software, infrastructure, DevSecOps and cyber teams
Supporting the strategic direction of security initiatives across multiple projects
Main Skills Needed
Experience as a Security Architect within regulated or high‑assurance environments
Strong risk management capability using frameworks such as NIST 800‑53
Ability to work hands‑on with technical teams at architecture and design level
Experience selecting and designing security controls across networks, identity, endpoints, cryptography and data
Knowledge of legal and regulatory considerations within cyber security
Proven ability to produce high‑quality security and assurance documentation
Familiarity with MOD standards such as JSP 604 / 453 and associated artefacts
Eligibility for UK government security clearance (or willingness to undergo vetting)
