Job Summary This role involves producing detailed manufacturing drawings and CNC transmissions for Laser and Router Machines using
SolidWorks
and
Signlab . You will be a key member of our design team, supporting our onsite factory operations and the Sales teams client‑facing visualisation needs.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Drafting : Use SolidWorks and/or Signlab to create precise manufacturing drawings, including sheet metal layouts, material specifications, colours, dimensions, and Bill of Materials (BOM). Provide a 3D visual representation to support both the factory and clients.
CNC Transmission & Drawings : Generate DXF transmissions and flat‑pack drawings used for CNC machine cutting.
Problem‑Solving : Address queries from the Operations team or shop floor swiftly and effectively.
Job System Maintenance : Keep the in‑house Microsoft Access Job System up to date, ensuring all work and transmissions are logged correctly for smooth job progression.
Project Management Support : Collaborate with Project Managers to facilitate projects from start to finish, maintaining an efficient workflow between design and production.
Prior experience in signage manufacturing or a similar industry that utilises metal fabrication, sheet metal and Acrylics/Perspex and laminates is highly desirable but not essential.
Previous experience with
SolidWorks
(or Inventor) and
Signlab
would be a major advantage. In‑house product training will be provided as required.
A team player with strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards problem‑solving.
Eager to develop new skills and contribute to improving the efficiency and accuracy of the department.
