THE COMPANY We are a leading independent chemical pump manufacturer for not only the chemical industry but also the pharmaceutical and nuclear industries. We have been manufacturing chemical process pumps for over sixty years and opened our doors in the UK over twenty-six years ago. Operating from a central European manufacturing facility based in Italy means we are ideally situated to support our customers across the UK, Scotland, Ireland and East Asia and our team work closely with our customers to ensure their requirements are accurately met.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT Being a Junior role, we will provide full on-the‑job training on all our products and industries, support additional learning and qualifications as well as providing opportunity to grow within the business into various areas and roles of the organisation.
JOB SPECIFICATION We are growing fast and since opening our UK doors in 1998, we have gone from strength to strength creating a company which has the product, service, and knowledge to support the chemical, nuclear and pharmaceutical industries.
As a Junior Sales Engineer you will eventually be responsible for providing customers with technical and commercial information on a particular product or service, with the ultimate goal of making sales and hitting sales targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Researching and preparing technical quotations, tenders, and proposals
Providing detailed analytics to show customers why a product will help their business
Responding to and resolving technical enquiries
Liaising with suppliers on pricing, lead times and any other matters that may arise
Maintaining and updating Management Information Systems accurately
Providing a point of communication between the customer and Account Managers or service providers
Occasionally representing the company at customer visits, exhibitions, and industry events
Support and offer technical advice and solutions for the customer, internal and external sales teams
Work with other departments internally, suppliers and external group companies to provide prompt feedback
Able to work within set timescales and handle a variety of business requirements
Work within a sales team to hit wider company targets and goals and personal sales targets
Be a team player who offers a positive, and supportive contribution to our internal and external sales force

Personable and an enthusiastic team player

Diligent and committed to achieving project and company goals.
Great time management and organisational skills, managing own workload independently
Academic background in technical or scientific subjects
Ability to provide excellent customer service, including excellent after-sales communication and care
Knowledge of the latest industry trends, discoveries and developments
Competent with IT systems including the full suite of Microsoft Office
A Sales Engineer needs to demonstrate that they have an academic background in technical or scientific subjects. Strong results at GCSE and A-level in English, Maths and Science subjects such as physics or chemistry are essential.
Recent Engineering graduates will be considered for this role.
